As one of the most controversial cases in Philadelphia history, the death of Officer Daniel Faulkner on December 9th, 1981, quickly became a movement for justice. Faulkner left behind a wife and many friends who have struggled through the continuing legal battle as they passionately seek to create awareness about the crime.
Hoopla Marketing & PR, along with Focus Context, redesigned and re-launched the Justice for Daniel Faulkner website. Hoopla not only manages the site but continues to expand and develop its community relations efforts through the Daniel Faulkner Educational Grant Fund.
Furthermore, Hoopla works closely with the foundation on events associated with the Justice for Daniel Faulkner campaign, which is dedicated to supporting the ongoing legal challenges to the verdict against Daniel Faulkner’s killer.
More recently, Hoopla handled the press relations associated with the announcement by Maureen Faulkner and the Faulkner family that they will not proceed with a new sentencing hearing for Daniel’s killer. This involved a large and intensely followed press conference at the District Attorney’s office, as well as many follow-up interviews with Maureen Faulkner, including a lengthy segment on CNN.
