Every year for the past 24, bicyclists gear up for a 65-mile bike ride from Philadelphia to Atlantic City … and Hoopla Marketing & PR has been a key to the success of the event for the past three! The event benefits the Irish Pub Children’s Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising funds for Delaware Valley-based children-oriented charitable endeavors.
Hoopla was hired to help take the event from an in house grass-roots endeavor to a premiere Philadelphia charitable sporting event through its expertise in Non-Profit Consulting & Development, Public Relations and Event Management. And grown it has, with Hoopla’s help, raising $200,000 in 2009, $279,000 in 2010 and $401,000 in 2011. Thanks to media partnerships formulated by Hoopla with NBC10 and Comcast SportsNet, as well as an aggressive publicity campaign including television, radio, print and online, the Irish Pub Tour de Shore garnered 20 million media impressions in 2011 alone.
To date, the event has raised over $2,200,000 for disadvantaged youth.
